This user has been editing Wikipedia for more than twenty years—since April 21, 2004.
I've been online since the early 1980's, starting with BBS' and BITNET before the Internet became a thing. I am currently employed by the Internet Society (ISOC) as a Senior Advisor to the CEO, helping with communications. I also research and monitor low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites for Internet access (ex. Starlink, OneWeb), write about Internet shutdowns, and communicate about any amicus briefs the organization files. (NOTE: I do not edit the Internet Society's article on Wikipedia due to WP:COI.)
If you want to say hello, I occasionally stream editing of Wikipedia live on Twitch (danyork324). I no longer have a specific schedule as I did during the pandemic.
Topics of interest:
Pretty much anything about the Internet, particularly its infrastructure.
